How to find the date X days from today
Type the number of days and leave the start date on today. The result shows the date, the weekday and the day of the year. Change the start date to count from any other day, and switch Direction to subtract instead of add.
A useful shortcut: any multiple of 7 lands on the same weekday. So 14, 28 or 364 days from a Monday is always a Monday. 30 days moves you two weekdays forward, because 30 is four weeks plus 2 days.
Going backward works the same way. Ninety days before Monday, October 19, 2026 was Tuesday, July 21, 2026. The tool handles month lengths and leap days for you, so you never have to remember whether the month in between had 30 or 31 days.
Months are not a fixed number of days, so “90 days” and “3 months” are not always the same. From January 1, 2026, 90 days and three months both land on April 1, because January, February and March add up to exactly 90 days that year. From June 1, though, 90 days lands on August 30 while three months lands on September 1.

Common reasons people count forward
- 90 days: return windows, probation periods, visa and travel rules, and many “within 90 days” terms.
- 30 and 60 days: invoice payment terms and notice periods.
- 100 days: school countdowns and personal challenges.
- 180 and 365 days: six-month and one-year reviews, warranties and renewals.
If a rule says “within 90 days”, check whether day 1 is the day of the event or the day after. Most rules count from the next day, which is exactly what this tool does: day 1 is tomorrow. When in doubt, aim a day or two early.

Not exactly. Months have 28 to 31 days, so 3 months is usually 89 to 92 days. If a rule says 90 days, count days, not months.
